Phase
Cecily Gasidlo
Taking some time off from her position as a CEO of a beauty product company, Euro is preparing to travel across Europe to see her best friend who lives in Finland. She energizes her Tesla using her unparalleled strength and, without opening her car door, she slides behind the wheel, leaving her dog to fend for itself. As she drives off, her best friend calls. “I just want to let you know that the stairs of my apartment building are being renovated, so you’ll have to take the elevator.” Knowing her worst fear is elevators, she immediately hangs up. After several days on the road, Euro arrives at her best friend’s apartment. She takes a long look at the apartment building before stepping out of her warm car into the cold weather. “It’s enormous!” she mutters under her breath. She wills herself to get in the elevator and ride it up to the 30th floor. The doors close catching a thick lock of her long blonde hair. The elevator starts to rise. Euro quickly calls her best friend. “Hey, I think the elevator will need some maintenance work as well.”
