The End of the World

The end of the world has held a mythical status for thousands of years. This illusory concept depicts a future born of and fatal to humanity’s current circumstances. Our disadvantage is division; our worlds are fragmented and culturally isolated. Doomsday predictions manifest in myriad disasters and recurrent self-destructive patterns. We are left to face the end on our own terms.

These images prompt the viewer to confront their own anxieties and confessions of imaginary afters. Observable surroundings are obscured. In this special project, our individual perspectives manifested first as language. This language was given to another designer, who crafted a narrative response and ultimately combined text and image to create yet another voicing. Each work is a collage of non-corporeal voices and perspectives. Currently, many of the perspectives manifested in this work are unfolding in very real ways.
