Words Fuel the Imagination

A disease that is caused by multiple blows to the head.

“Repetitive head trauma chokes the brain! And turns man into something else.”

“I really do believe that if these individuals could see what was happening to them at the end of their lives, and see how it’s destroying their family, they never would have played football.”

“The fundamental issue is not concussions but repeated blows to the head with or without concussions, with or without helmets. We must mitigate the exposure of our children's brains to all types of blows to the head.”

Urdish is a linguistic blend of Urdu and English spoken widely in Pakistan. These pins were designed to express the creativity of the vernacular language spoken among Urdu-English speakers.
Words Fuel the Imagination
As a Pakistani-American, I am fortunate to be bilingual, fluent in English and Urdu, which is an especially unique Arabic tongue, being a rather motley combination ofArabic, Farsi, Turkish, Hindi, and English. Culture is embedded in every language and, in this way, my creative linguistic palette is multicultural. As a designer, my work blends multiple skills and media platforms—video, print, and drawing—and vocabularies. I am especially interested in the notion of communication as bridge-building. I like to think of it as connecting hearts, e.g. invoking empathy, raising awareness, building bridges.
