Afrofuturism

My pencil is my lifeline, continuously moving beyond the screen, navigating alien realms known only to me: jamaicaindiaenglandchinaamerica. I live in the interstice. Techno cultural sci-fi futurist afro feminism is but a facet of my young black female identity. Raised between different cultures, among different languages, I have been forced, in a matter of speaking, to create my own world. It is a place without judgement. A place where it is impossible to be too rude or too proper or too smart or not smart enough or… A place where I can dance with the winds of my multifaceted identity, a place where I am entirely free. This place is the place from which my work as a designer originates and takes flight.
