Flat Kitchen Project

Within 15 years, the percentage of Americans who love to cook dropped one-third. And that’s from a small margin of people who loved to cook to begin with. So then why has our interest in cooking shows and entertainment increased? Because cooking is fun. We enjoy in the almost magical transformation of raw ingredients –into a beautiful mouth-watering masterpiece. It’s not that we don’t want to cook, we’re afraid to. We’re afraid we won’t have enough time or that the first thing we make isn’t as beautiful as Chef Ramsey would have made it. We’re afraid we won’t have fun, and that’s a problem. Surprisingly, these fears can stem from one singular traditional method we used repeatedly-measuring.

Flat Kitchen designed a couple of starting products to get anyone afraid of their own tools, back into the kitchen. Consistency in flavor and texture in every bite to gain confidence in ones self. Flat Kitchen simply removes the hassle of having to painstakingly measure each ingredient, removing your guilt of using the tablespoon when it should have been the teaspoon. Each tool developed was to ensure that it would be easy to use, effective and efficient. Your eyes are the only measuring tool you need.
