Life is Cyclical
Life is Cyclical
I embrace contradictions and dilemmas. I enjoy ambiguity, the absurd, and incongruity. I begin my design process by envisioning how it might end. Then I feel my way forward. Literally. While design is also frequently referred to as visual communication, it appeals not only to our sense of sight but engages all the senses. We are sensual beings after all, quick to make associative connections between things. An abstract image can send chills down our spine; a photographic detail can move us to tears; an intense color can carry the scent of a loved one. I think of design as conveyance, of meaning and feeling, and as connection between the actual and the imaginary. My work aims to engage the senses and the mind. The sender and the receiver are one. The experience is existential.
